UAB To Play In Samford Intercollegiate

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The No. 9 UAB men’s golf team will continue its spring season with the Samford Intercollegiate. The two-day event begins on Monday, March 3 at the Hoover Country Club.
For the second consecutive tournament, the UAB men’s golf team will employ a different lineup. Seniors Thomas Sutton and Sam Love, junior Paul Dunne, redshirt sophomore Ryan Davies, and sophomore Martin Rohwer will represent the Blazers at the par-72, 7,001-yard course.
UAB is coming off a third-place finish at the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational. Love led the way for the Green and Gold, finishing in second place individually, his third top-10 finish of the 2013-14 season.
The 16-team field will play two rounds on Monday, followed by the third and final round on Tuesday. A shotgun start is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Monday morning.
