Blazers Hold Military Appreciation Day Saturday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- UAB will celebrate Military Appreciation Day Saturday at the Blazers' football game against Louisiana Tech at Legion Field. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. CT.
A special Blazer Village will be set up prior to the game and will feature displays from Vettes4Vets, Dixie Division Military Vehicles Club, the Alabama National Guard and others.
Hot 107.7 FM will be on remote at the location.
Active and retired military personnel will join the UAB band on the field before the game for the national anthem and to make the tunnel for the team to enter the field (those interested should meet a UAB marketing representative on the field at the south end flag pole before the game).
At halftime, there will be a re-enactment of the raising of the second flag at Iwo Jima.
