Cross Country's Livett Named Academic All-C-USA

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- UAB cross country sophomore Sarah Livett was one of six runners named to the Conference USA Women’s Cross Country All-Academic Team, the league office announced Friday.
The Benllech, Wales, native has competed in all five of the Blazers’ races this fall, crossing the line as UAB’s lead runner on two occasions. Livett took second overall at the Azalea City Classic on Sept. 12, completing the 6K course in 20:41.24. She ran a career-best 17:39.50 at the C-USA Championships on Nov. 1 to earn third team All-C-USA honors, finishing in 16th place.
The biology major has maintained a 3.75 grade point average while competing for the Green and Gold. Livett is the 10th Blazer to be named to the C-USA All-Academic Team and the fourth sophomore to accomplish the feat.
