UAB Moves Up To 10th On Day Two

JONESBORO, Ark. – The UAB bowling team moved into 10th place after two days of competition at the Mid-Winter Invitational.
Saturday was the individual competition day. For the Blazers, junior Marissa Ferreira finished as the top individual with a total pinfall of 1,012 on the day. Ferreira finished 17th among the 83 players on the day.
Fellow junior Jenna Mellott was the next best Blazer finisher at 26th. She posted a total pinfall of 963 on the day. Junior Ali Long also finished in the top-35, with a total of 954 for UAB.
The Blazers carry a 3-6 record into the final day of action. UAB will begin the day with a match against No. 7 Wisconsin-Whitewater in bracket play. The teams will start at 8 a.m.
