Men's Tennis Continues Play In Weekend Event

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. ----- The UAB men's tennis team was back in action Saturday on the second day of the Dale Short Shootout as the Blazers took on host Middle Tennessee.
The Blazers managed just one singles win and one doubles victory on the day, falling in several tight matches.
Lucas Dirube was a 6-4, 6-7, 7-5 winner over the Blue Raiders' Christoph Lang in singles while Dirube teamed with Rafael Rondino in doubles to down the MTSU team of Yannick Born and Victor Cornea, 8-5. Rondino dropped a close match with Cornea in singles, 6-4, 7-6.
UAB will wrap up play in the tournament Sunday when the Blazers play Southern Illinois at 9:00 a.m.
