Kirk, Hudak Named To USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--UAB cross country senior Sarah Hudak and junior Elinor Kirk were named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, the organization announced Monday.
With a combined GPA of 3.405, the Blazers were also named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
Kirk, who is pursuing a graduate degree in communication management, owns a GPA of 4.0, while Hudak has a 3.66 GPA and is studying for a graduate degree in clinical nutrition.
During the cross country season, Kirk finished in the top-10 four times, including a second-place finish in the 2012 Azalea City Classic 6K (Sept. 15).
Hudak won four of UAB's first five races of the 2012 cross country season, and finished in the top-10 in each regular-season race. The Manchester, England native was also named Conference USA Athlete of the Week twice, and was also selected as UAB's Student-Athlete of the Week.
