Cross Country Heads To NCAA South Regional

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB cross country team will travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala. Friday to run in the 2013 NCAA South Regional Championships.
The women's 6K race will be held at the Harry Pritchett Running Park and is scheduled to begin at 11:15 a.m. CST.
Elinor Kirk, the Conference USA individual medalist at the league championship two weeks ago in Denton, Texas, will lead UAB's contingent of competitors in the meet. Nearly 50 teams will be competing in the South Region.
UAB's last competition was the Conference USA Championships, held on Nov. 2.
