Men's Tennis Sends Eight To Samford Fall Invite

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB men's tennis team will have eight players participating this weekend in the Samford Fall Invite.
The Blazers will be joined by host Samford and Jacksonville State in the three-day event that will run Friday-Sunday, Oct. 18-20 at the Samford Tennis Center.
The format will consist of flighted round-robin singles and doubles brackets with the No. 1 and No. 2 singles players in one draw, the No. 3 and 4 players in a second draw and the No. 5 and 6 players in a third draw. There will also be two doubles flights.
UAB's top players Chris Helliar and Rafael Rondino will not play in this weekend's Samford event after a busy fall schedule thus far for the pair, including long draw runs for both at the recent ITA All-American and the USTA/ITA Southern Regionals.

Flights #3 and #4 - Nick Iannuzzi, Charles McCombs, Matthew Hill and David Cooper
