TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ----- UAB's Chris Helliar continued his impressive fall run Saturday as he won again in singles to earn a spot in Sunday's semifinal round action at the UTSA/ITA Southern Regional Championships.

The Blazer senior from Bournemouth, England will now play Ole Miss' Nik Scholtz, the tournament's No. 1 seed, in a Sunday semifinal at 12:30 p.m. Scholtz, listed at No. 7 in the preseason ITA national singles rankings, advanced to the semifinals with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Auburn's No. 6 seeded Lukas Oilert.
In doubles play earlier in the day, Helliar and teammate Donovan McSeveney, dropped an 8-3 decision to No. 2 seeded O'Sheughnessey and Daniel Proskura of Alabama.
