Moser Named C-USA Men's Tennis Athlete Of Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- UAB senior Daniel Moser has been named the Conference USA Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week after his perfect singles and doubles record last weekend helped the Blazers to a 3-0 mark at the C-USA Shootout.
Moser, from North Shore City, New Zealand, had a perfect 5-0 record in singles and doubles as he helped the nationally ranked Blazers to a sweep of East Carolina, Tulane and Southern Miss.
Moser was 3-0 at the No. 4 singles position and posted the clinching victory in UAB's 5-2 win over Southern Miss on Sunday. He teamed with Danny Manlow for a 2-0 record at No. 2 doubles.
With the unbeaten mark at the C-USA Shootout, Moser improved his singles record to 14-3 in dual matches and his doubles record to 13-4 (with Manlow) this season. Moser has played a large role in UAB's 16-4 record and the Blazers holding a spot in the ITA national rankings the past month.
This is Moser's first career Tennis Athlete of the Week honor.
