Blazers Announce Television Games For 2011 Football Schedule

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- At least seven UAB football games will be televised during the 2011 season, according to the broadcast schedule announced Tuesday by the Conference USA office.
The Blazers' home games against UCF and Southern Miss will be televised on Thursday nights as previously announced. The contest vs. the Knights on Oct. 20 will air on CSS with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m. CT. The Nov. 17 game against the Golden Eagles is also set for a 7:00 p.m. start time and will be carried by CBS Sports Network.
Five other UAB games were also announced for TV. The Blazers' home game against Mississippi State on Saturday, Oct. 8 will be televised by Fox Sports Net with an 11:00 a.m. kickoff. A week later, UAB will travel to play at Conference USA foe Tulsa and the game will be televised by the CBSSN at 7:00 p.m. CT.
UAB's Oct. 29 contest at Marshall will be televised by CSS and kick off at Noon ET/11:00 a.m. CT. On Nov. 5, the Blazers will play Houston at Legion Field and the game will be carried by CBSSN at 6:00 p.m. CT.
The following week on Nov. 12, UAB will travel to play at Memphis as the annual "Battle for the Bones" will be televised by CSS. The time will be announced later.
Additional games may be announced for TV at a later date.
