BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ------ The UAB men's tennis team will look to keep riding its recent wave of success Friday when the Blazers travel to Troy, Ala. to take on the in-state foe Troy Trojans.
The match is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. at the Lunsford Tennis Complex on Troy's campus.
The Blazers (8-8, 3-1 C-USA) are currently in the midst of their most successful stretch of the season, having won their last four dual matches and five of the past six.
UAB is coming off a sweep last weekend of three conference opponents at the Conference USA Shootout in Hattiesburg, Miss. The Blazers knocked off Southern Miss, Tulane and East Carolina in consecutive days to finish as the event's only undefeated team.
Troy, meanwhile, will enter Friday's dual with a 3-15 record. The Trojans lost three times last weekend in the Sun Belt Shootout, falling to DePaul, Middle Tennessee and South Alabama.
