UAB Tennis Team Plays At No. 51 Alabama Wednesday Afternoon

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB men's tennis team will be back in action Wednesday afternoon when the Blazers travel to Tuscaloosa to take on the No. 51-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide.
The match is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. CT at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.
The Blazers (9-8) enter the match winners of five consecutive matches. UAB edged Troy last Friday, 4-3.
The Crimson Tide (9-10) will be playing its final home match of the season. Alabama has dropped its last three matches, all to ranked Southeastern Conference teams. Most recently, the Tide lost to No. 25 Mississippi State Sunday, 5-2, and lost by the same score to No. 32 Ole Miss two days earlier.
The match against Alabama will be UAB's eighth this season against a ranked opponent. The Blazers have a win over current No. 58 Princeton back on March 19.
