Men's Tennis Team Travels To Conference USA Shootout

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB men's tennis team will be in Hattiesburg, Miss. this weekend as the Blazers take on a trio of league opponents as part of the Conference USA Shootout.
The three-day event will be held at the USM Tennis Courts on the Southern Miss campus. The event is a four-team, round robin format.
The Blazers (5-8, 0-1 C-USA) will play their first match in the event Friday afternoon when they meet the host Golden Eagles (3-14, 0-2) at 2:00.
Tulane (7-9, 0-5) and East Carolina (12-6, 0-1) will open play Friday when they meet at 10:00 a.m.
On Saturday, UAB goes against Tulane at 10 a.m. while Southern Miss plays ECU at 2 p.m. Then Sunday, the Blazers close out their weekend schedule when they meet the Pirates at 10 a.m., followed by the Golden Eagles and Green Wave meeting at 2 p.m.
UAB is coming off a 7-0 home victory over Jacksonville State on Monday.
