Blazer Rifle Team Finishes Fifth At UT Martin Invite

MARTIN, Tenn. -- The UAB rifle team took fifth place last weekend in the air rifle competition at the UT Martin Invitational.
SirLinda Gee was the top individual shooter for the Blazers, tying for seventh place with a score of 579.
Suzanne Moore (23rd place, 557), Autumn Stockwell (26th, 549) and Heather Searcy (29th, 544) joined Gee as the four Blazers accounting for UAB's team score of 2,229.
Memphis won the team competition with a score of 2,326, followed by Jacksonville State (2,311), the UT Martin mixed team (2,307) and the UT Martin women's team (2,247). Rose Hulman followed UAB in sixth place at 2,219, and Mercer rounded out the competition in seventh at 1,971.
Three other Blazers also competed at the event -- Maegan Sisk (543), Abigail Duke (541) and Sarah Hicks (519).
