UAB Finishes Fall Beach Blast In 3rd Place

GULF SHORES, Ala.-- Sophomore Caitlin Watts finished the tournament tied in 3rd place as she led the way for the Blazers with an individual score of 151. The UAB women's golf team finished 3rd in the UAB Fall Beach Blast at the Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club in Gulf Shores, Ala.
UAB secured the third position in the 11-team tournament with a team score of 632 for 56-over par.
Memphis earned the top spot in the tournament at the end of the two-day event with the overall team score of 603. The individual leader from day one, Kathleen Glavin, won the tournament with a two-round score of 148.
Junior Jaime Ritter garnered a 10th place position after two rounds of play. Freshman Holly Robinson finished with a 160 stroke count, while freshman Margaret Yeh finished right behind her with a score of 163. Junior Ana Martin shot a 168 in the tournament to wrap up the scoring for UAB.
