The four-day event, held at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on the University of Georgia campus, is not only one of the top collegiate tournaments of the fall season, but it's also the nation's oldest fall college tennis tournament.
Junior Daniel Moser is still alive in the Division II singles bracket after receiving a first round bye and then defeating David O'Hare of Memphis, 6-7, 6-3, 6-4. Moser will play Georgia's Campbell Johnson Saturday in third round play.
Meanwhile, the Blazers got first round wins from three other players. Freshman Chris Helliar downed Stetson's Alexander Hackett, 6-2, 6-4, in Division II play but then dropped a three-setter to LSU's Olivier Borsos, 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.

Senior Dan Cornei cruised past Trenton Spikes of Georgia State, 6-2, 6-2, but then he dropped a 6-4, 6-1 decision to Campbell's Dominik Kaniewski, 6-4, 6-1.
Sophomore David Zimmerman lost a tight, three-set match to Florida's Andrew Butz, 6-7, 6-2, 7-6, in their opening round in Division I singles play.
In doubles play, UAB's team of Puetz and Zimmerman lost their Division I first round match to Florida's duo of Butz and Michael Alford, 8-6. In Division II doubles, the Blazers' tandem of Helliar and Moser fell by an 8-5 score to Stetson's Hackett and Hans Adrian Riseng.
