JACKSONVILLE, Ala. ----- Sophomore SirLinda Gee highlighted the UAB rifle team's performance at the Gamecock Invitational.

Gee, from Enterprise, Ala., led the Blazers in the air rifle competition as she tied for 10th overall with a score of 577. Suzanne Moore was UAB's second finisher as she placed No. 31 (555) with Autumn Stockwell No. 36 (544), Sarah Hicks No. 38 (507) and Heather Searcy in the No. 43 position (493).

There were 49 shooters in the meet.

Jacksonville State's Brian Carstensen won the air rifle competition with a score of 586.

As a team, UAB scored 2,169 points to finish in sixth place.
