UAB Football Team Holds Practice No. 12

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB football team went through spring practice No. 12 here Wednesday, and for one of the few times since spring drills began last month, head coach Neil Callaway left the field disappointed in his team's performance.
"Most of them have been pretty good, but it wasn't very good today," said head coach Neil Callaway. "I think a lot of the guys were out here just going through the motions. Some of them were out here as if spring practice was already over. We've still got three practices left.
"It was mainly effort, just guys standing around and not working like they need to work. It was disappointing."
The Blazers will practice three more times this spring. Friday's workout will be a light one before the team holds its final scrimmage on Saturday. The squad will hold a final spring practice session Monday afternoon.
