UAB Men's Tennis Team To Host Troy Wednesday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB men's tennis team will look to gain momentum heading into next week's Conference USA Championships when the Blazers play host to Troy Wednesday at the Brook Highland Racquet Club.
The match is scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m. CT.
The Blazers (8-9) will play three matches in the next five days, all at home. Following Wednesday's match against the Trojans, UAB will host DePaul on Saturday (2:00 p.m.) before finishing its regular Sunday (11:00 a.m.) at home against Texas-San Antonio.
"Obviously, we would like to come out and play well and get some momentum going as we get ready for the conference tournament," said head coach Derek Tarr.
The C-USA Championships will be held April 17-19 at Orlando, Fla.
UAB is coming off a 1-2 performance at last weekend's Conference USA Shootout at Greenville, N.C. The Blazers dropped a tight 4-3 decision to East Carolina Friday before losing to UCF (6-1) on Saturday. UAB rallied to post a 4-3 win over Southern Miss on Sunday to finish the weekend.
