BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB men's tennis team will be back in action Wednesday, March 18 when the Blazers play host to Georgia Southern. The match is scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m. at the Brook Highland Racquet Club.
For UAB (6-6), this will be the team's first match at home in just over two weeks. The Blazers are coming off a successful west coast road trip last week. UAB won three of four matches on the trip, capturing victories against Saint Mary's, San Francisco and Santa Clara while losing only to No. 46 California.
Overall, UAB has won five of their past six matches. One of the hottest Blazers has been senior Brian Ly, an all-conference performer last season. Ly has won his last six singles matches, including all four last week in California.
Georgia Southern will enter Wednesday's match with a 5-4 record after losing a tight 4-3 decision at Samford Tuesday.
Wednesday's match at Brook Highland is free to the public.
