Blazers Place Fifth In Air Rifle At UT Martin Invitational

MARTIN, Tenn. -- SirLinda Gee was the top finisher for UAB as the Blazers took fifth place recently in the Air Rifle competition at the UT Martin Rifle Invitational.
The event, which also featured teams from Memphis, Rose-Hulman, Arkansas-Fort Smith, Mercer and host UT Martin, was held Jan. 27-31 at the UT Martin Rifle Range.
Gee tied for 19th individually in the Air Rifle with a score of 568. She was followed by UAB teammates Autumn Stockwell at 534 (T-44th), Suzanne Moore at 526 (49th) and Heather Searcy at 503 (T-54th). The Blazers managed a combined team score of 2,131.
The UT Martin Mixed squad won the team competition with a total of 2,294, while Jenna Quick of Memphis posted the top individual score at 583.
