Blazers Hold Final Scrimmage of Fall Camp

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB football team conducted its game rehearsal scrimmage at Legion Field Saturday afternoon to mark the final scrimmage of fall camp. The Blazers' first and second team offense and defense went head-to-head with the rest of the squad for more than two hours.
Despite the wet and rainy conditions, UAB head coach Neil Callaway was pleased with his team's effort on the field.
"I thought it was a good practice," said Callaway. "The tempo was good, the enthusiasm was good."
Earlier in the day Callaway and the rest of the UAB football team took part in UAB's annual Fan Day. Blazers fans were treated to breakfast and autographs from the entire squad.
Next week the team will continue to work toward its anticipated season opener against Tulsa. The two conference foes will face off at Legion Field on Aug. 30 at 3 p.m. CT.
