UAB Football Game At Tennessee To Be Televised

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- UAB's Sept. 13 football game this fall at Tennessee will be televised with an early afternoon kickoff.
The contest between the Blazers and Volunteers will be televised by Raycom Sports and will kick off at 12:30 p.m. ET. UAB's 2005 season opener at Tennessee was also carried on regional television and also featured an early afternoon start time.
UAB will play two games prior to making the trip to Knoxville. The Blazers open the 2008 campaign at home with a game at Legion Field against Conference USA foe Tulsa on Aug. 30. A week later on Sept. 6, UAB will travel to Boca Raton, Fla. to play Florida Atlantic in a first-ever meeting between the two schools.
The Blazers' first three games (Tulsa, Florida Atlantic and Tennessee) in 2008 all come against teams that played in bowl games last season.
