Brabb Third Entering Final Round of C-USA Championships

EL PASO, Texas - Freshman Jaime Brabb continues to lead UAB and is in third place in the individual standings at 148 following the second round of the 2008 Texas Roadhouse Conference USA Women's Golf Championships, hosted by UTEP at the Butterfield Trail Golf Club.
The Blazers are tied for sixth in the team standings with a total of 627 entering Wednesday's final round of competition.
"Overall, we didn't play as well today as we did yesterday," said UAB head coach Kim Wilcox. "We need to stay focused and try to play our best during the last round on Wednesday."
Tulsa leads the league tournament with a 36-hole score of 601. East Carolina is second at 608 and UCF is third with a total of 617. UAB shot a 321 on day two to sit in a tie for sixth place with Memphis at 627.
Brabb, who was tied for the lead after day one with an even-par 72, shot 76 in the second round to move into third place with a total of 148. She is just one stroke off the leaders, who sit at 147.
Sophomore Carolyn Cochran moved up into a tie for sixth place with a score of 151. Junior Christina Wentworth is tied for the 35th position after tallying a 164 thru two rounds.
Freshman Lindsay Taylor is holding down the 38th spot at 166 and junior Alyson Mitchell is in 44th place with a score of 175.
