JONESBORO, Ark. - The UAB women's golf team concluded the Lady Red Wolf Classic Tuesday in 11th place with a three-round total of 982. The Blazers shot rounds of 329, 328 and 325 at the par-71, 5,983-yard Jonesboro Country Club.
"Today's scores were a little bit better," said UAB head coach Kim Wilcox. "We struggled a little at this event. It was a tight course. Our short game was good, but overall, it was not our best performance."
Sophomore Jaime Brabb led UAB with rounds of 78, 78 and 83 to place 26th in the individual standings. Sophomore Lindsay Taylor tied for 36th place with a 54-hole total of 243, including a personal tournament-best 78 in round three.
Seniors Alyson Mitchell and Christina Wentworth tied for the 49th position with identical scores of 250. Sophomore Ashley Looney completed UAB's efforts by placing 72nd with a 279 over three rounds.
Drake took home the Lady Red Wolf Classic team title with rounds of 306, 305 and 306 for a total of 917. Central Arkansas was second after carding a 923 and Murray State placed third at 929.
