ORLANDO, Fla. - The UAB cross country team posted their first win of the season at the Walt Disney World Cross Country Classic on Saturday morning. After three consecutive third-place finishes the Blazers were able to outrun the competition, including No. 14 Florida.
"It was our best effort as a team this year," said UAB head coach Ray Stanfield. "Anytime you can beat a nationally ranked team in their backyard it is always a good thing."

"This was a great win," said Stanfield. "Especially for the freshmen. We ran very well."
