BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB football team had a light, 12-period practice Thursday gearing up for its Saturday contest with Florida State.
The Blazers (0-1) had a typical Thursday practice, rehearsing the team's game plan and tying up little things for the game against the Seminoles and what head coach Neil Callaway calls "a big challenge".
"Defensively their front is very fast and physical," he said. "I think they have a lot of weapons and once they get in sync, like they showed in the second half of Monday night's game, they can be pretty explosive. So we'll have a big challenge on our hands."
The Seminoles (0-1) come into the matchup, having lost to Clemson 24-18 in their season, after rallying from a 24-3 deficit. Kick off for Saturday's game is at 4:00 p.m. CDT and will be broadcast live on ESPNU.
Radio coverage of UAB football can also be heard on the Blazers ISP Network flagship station WUHT 107.7 FM. The broadcast can also be heard on affiliates WIQR 1410 AM in Montgomery, WTRB 98.3 FM in Talladega, and WACT 1420 AM in Tuscaloosa.
Tickets for the upcoming season are now available for purchase online at UABsports.com or by contacting the UAB Ticket Office at (205) 975-8221. Single-game tickets begin at $15.
