UAB Cross Country Ranked Fifth In Region

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB cross country team was ranked No. 5 in the latest NCAA South Regional poll released Tuesday by the USTFCCCA.
The Blazers moved up two spots after finishing fourth at the Conference USA Championship this past weekend. In the latest poll, UAB was ranked ahead of in-state schools Alabama, Auburn and Samford, and was also the highest ranked non-Southeastern Conference school.
This is the second time this year that the Blazers have been ranked fifth. The first occasion came on Sept. 24 after they captured the team title at the Crimson Classic.
UAB's next meet will be the NCAA South Regional on Nov. 10 in Gainesville, Fla.
