UAB's Julius Wilson Will Play In Saturday's East-West Shrine All-Star Game

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- Offensive tackle Julius Wilson, who earned All-Conference USA honors his final two seasons at UAB, will represent the Blazers Saturday as a participant in the 82nd Annual East-West Shrine All-Star Game.
The Dell-East West Game, to be played at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas, will start at 6 p.m. (CST) and will be televised nationally on ESPN2.
Wilson, from Bradenton, Fla., will play for the East Team that will be coached by former Miami Dolphins head coach Don Shula.
Dan Reeves, who coached the Denver Broncos, New York Giants and Atlanta Falcons in the NFL, will head up the coaching staff of the West Team.
Wilson was a three-year starter for the Blazers after enrolling at UAB following a season at Southwest Mississippi Community College. He earned a spot on the Coaches' All-Conference USA second team in 2006 after being named to the third team as a junior. He was a preseason first-team selection in 2006 by the conference's head coaches.
