UAB Men's Tennis Team Wins Sixth Straight Match

CHARLOTTE, N.C. ----- The UAB men's tennis team posted its sixth consecutive dual match victory here Wednesday, downing Conference USA opponent Charlotte, 4-0.
The Blazers captured the doubles point and then took singles wins at the No. 4-6 positions to improve their record to 13-4 on the season. The No. 1-3 singles matches were all suspended once UAB had clinched the victory.
Freshman Johannes Spangenberg provided the clinching win for the Blazers with his 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 victory at No. 5 singles over the 49ers' Stuart Lynas.
Kristijan Mitrovski won his match at No. 4 singles as he defeated Charlotte's Dorian Host, 6-0, 6-1 while UAB's Filip Kanczula took a 1-6, 6-1, 6-1 victory at the No. 6 position over Zyi Lantsberg.
The Blazers took a 1-0 lead with wins at the No. 1 and 2 doubles spots. Charlotte fell to 7-9 with the loss.
UAB's next action will come April 9 when the Blazer play host to Belmont.
