BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB football team continued its preparation for Saturday's Conference USA road game at Cincinnati with a workout here Wednesday of just over two hours.
The Blazers (2-1, 1-0 C-USA) are coming off a 35-28 conference victory over Memphis at Legion Field. The Bearcats also started their C-USA schedule with a victory as they traveled to East Carolina last weekend and came away with a 24-19 victory.
UAB head coach Watson Brown says his team's preparations are progressing well toward Saturday's contest. "I thought today's practice was better than yesterday," said Brown. "We're hoping tomorrow's practice will be better than today's. We're getting deeper into the gameplan now and I thought the kids picked things up pretty well today. I thought we looked a little fresher today, too, hopefully getting some of the soreness out of us."
The UAB-Cincinnati game will kick off at 7:00 p.m. ET at Nippert Stadium. The game will be televised regionally on Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS)
