UAB Combines Football With NASCAR For Memphis Game

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The 2004 UAB football season continues Saturday, September 25th at 6:00 when the Blazers tackle Conference USA rival Memphis at Legion Field in the league opener for both teams. The Blazers have held the upperhand in the series of late beating the Tigers the past four years.
In addition to an exciting C-USA match-up, UAB will host the Blazer NASCAR Zone. Fans are invited to visit Dale Earnhardt Junior's #8 Budweiser car, Jeff Gordon's #24 car, Matt Kenseth's #17 Dewalt Tools car and Mark Martin's #6 car.
The Talladega Superspeedway will also be on hand with interactive games, and fans can register to win tons of great racing prizes.

Fans are also invited to come early for the Blazer Walk at 3:30 p.m. to cheer on the team as they arrive at Legion Field. Then, the fun continues at Blazer Village - a pre-game pep rally where fans can meet Blazer athletes and coaches while the kids enjoy free inflatable games, face painting and more.
