UAB Continues Preparations For TCU

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB football team went through a practice of just more than two hours here Tuesday, working out in shoulder pads and shorts in preparations for Friday night's nationally-televised Conference USA contest with TCU.
Tuesday's workout was longer and more intense than Monday's light practice. Blazer head coach Watson Brown said that with the short week he wants to make sure his team has fresh legs heading into the matchup with the Horned Frogs.
"We'll go a little lighter Wednesday and then tail off even more for Thursday's practice," said Brown. "We're also trying to get a few of our guys back from injuries, but we will have to wait and see later in the week about that."
The game will kick off at 7:00 p.m. at Legion Field and be televised by ESPN.
