Promotions For Thursday's UAB-Southern Miss Game

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- Fans attending Thursday night's UAB-Southern Mississippi football game at Legion Field will have several promotional opportunities as they reach the stadium.
Aside from the 6:00 p.m. kickoff for the nationally-televised contest, highlighting the events of the evening will be the halftime performance of American Idol and Birmingham native, Ruben Studdard.
The first 1,000 fans at Legion Field Thursday will receive a ticket to Ruben's concert the following night, Sept. 5, at the BJCC. Gates open at Legion Field Thursday at 4:30 p.m. Fans can reserve their seats for the UAB-Southern Miss game, as well as Ruben's halftime show, by calling 975-UAB1.
In addition, the first 10,000 fans in Legion Field will receive a commemorative Blazer 25th Anniversary Growl Towel.
Individual game tickets ($20 reserved/$12 adult general admission/$8 child's general admission - 12-3 yrs.) are available in advance at Bartow Arena, through SouthTix (933-1280), or on the web at www.uabsports.com. On game day, tickets may be purchased at Legion Field beginning at noon.
Legion Field parking lots will open at 2:00 pm, Blazer Village opens at 4:00 pm, and Legion Field gates open at 4:30 pm.
