Roddy White Named C-USA Offensive Player of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- UAB wide receiver Roddy White has been named the Conference USA Offensive Player-of-the-Week following his outstanding performance in last Saturday's 31-14 Blazer victory over Cincinnati.
White, a junior from Charleston, S.C., caught four passes for a career-best 171 yards and a pair of touchdowns in UAB's win over the Bearcats. His touchdown receptions were from 95 yards (the second-longest TD catch in Conference USA history) and 56 yards, as he averaged 42.8 yards per reception. White's 171 receiving yards was the highest total in the league this season.
White is the Blazers' leading receiver this season with 24 receptions for 429 yards and a pair of touchdowns. His 17.9 yards per reception average is tops on the team. He also led UAB in receiving last year as a sophomore with 39 receptions.
UAB is on the road this Saturday, Oct. 18, as the Blazers travel to Fort Worth, Texas to meet nationally-ranked TCU (6:00 p.m. CT kickoff).
