BIRMINGHAM - The 46th-ranked UAB men's tennis team will host Conference USA foe DePaul in a 1 p.m. tilt Wednesday at the Lakeshore Foundation Tennis Facility.
The Blazers are10-5 overall this season, recently falling to 37th-ranked Vanderbilt 6-1 Sunday afternoon. The Blazers are 2-0 in C-USA play, defeating East Carolina 4-0 and battling with Saint Louis for a 4-3 win earlier this season.
Senior Alex Jung received C-USA Athlete of the Week honors for last weeks efforts against Vanderbilt and UAB's 7-0 won over Jacksonville State. The Waldaschaff, Germany product downed JSU's Arthro Neito and VU's Scott Brown in singles and went 2-0 in doubles play with partners Tobi Klein and Jean-Pierre De Lange.
In the latest ITA rankings, Jung and Klein make up the 35th-ranked team in the country.
The Blazers will continue on their C-USA run this weekend when they travel to Chapel Hill, N.C. to take on Charlotte.
