No. 46 Men's Tennis Falls to No. 37 Vanderbilt

BIRMINGHAM - UAB's Alex Jung garnered the only point for UAB (10-5, 2-0 Conference USA) as the 46th-ranked Blazers fell 6-1 to 37th-ranked Vanderbilt in men's tennis action Sunday at Brook Highland Racquet Club.
The senior from Waldaschaff, Germany won his singles match in the No. 4 position 6-3, 6-0 over the Commodores Scott Brown. Jung also won at No. 1 doubles with partner Tobi Klein. The 35th-ranked duo defeated Vanderbilt's Bobby Reynolds and Lewis Smith, 8-3.
Although the Blazers captured the win at the no. 1 doubles spot, the Commodores notched wins at the bottom two spots, taking care of the doubles point.
The Blazers just couldn't seem to get it going the rest of the match as they fell in all, but the No. 4 singles spot.
The Blazers will look to get back to their winning ways on Wednesday as they host C-USA foe DePaul in a 1 p.m. match at the Lakeshore Foundation Tennis Facility.
