BIRMINGHAM - The UAB men's tennis team will host Jacksonville State Tuesday at the Lakeshore Foundation Tennis Facility in a 1:30 p.m. tilt. The match was rescheduled from last Tuesday, when weather forced the two teams to cancel.
The Blazers (9-4, 2-0 in Conference USA) spent the weekend in Montgomery at the Blue-Gray Collegiate Classic Tennis Tournament where they faced three nationally-ranked teams, including No. 4 Notre Dame. The Blazers pulled off an upset in the first round defeating 37th-ranked Rice 4-1. In the second round, they fell 4-1 to the Fighting Irish and then 4-3 to 26th-ranked Indiana State.
After this match, the Blazers will get a much needed rest before they head back to the courts on March 24 when they host Vanderbilt in a 1 p.m. match at Lakeshore Foundation Tennis Facility.
