BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB football team worked out in full pads for approximately two hours under rain-soaked conditions and cooler weather temperatures Tuesday, as the team continued its focus on Saturday's matchup with Tulane.
Despite the undesirable weather conditions, head coach Watson Brown felt the team was still able to get some quality work in.
"I think we got some good things accomplished today," said Brown. "It's good that we got out here. We thought we were going to have to go in the gym. I think we were able to have a productive practice."
Coach Brown also felt the team's preparation and fundamental work went well Tuesday.
"I think our preparation went well," Brown said. "We were able to get some physical fundamental work done and I was pleased with our efforts in preparation for Tulane."
Saturday's kickoff against Tulane is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at the Super Dome in New Orleans.
