Freshman Tennis Players Fair Well At Southern Collegiates.

ATHENS, Ga. - Tobi Klein ( Bad Schoensorn, Germany), a freshman men's tennis player for UAB, was beaten by Tennessee's Simon Rea in the Division II singles semifinal Monday morning at the Southern Collegiate Championships hosted by the University of Georgia.
Klein got his first ever collegiate action started with four straight wins in the tournament before falling 6-4, 6-3 to Rae, the No. 2 seed.
In other Blazer tennis action, freshman Ruben Zrihen (Grenoble, France) won his first three collegiate matches before falling 6-1, 6-0 to Florida's Trey Johnson in the Division IV round of eight singles.
The Blazers will return to action on Sept. 28-30 when they compete at the Samford Bulldog Open in Birmingham.
