Men's Tennis Extends Winning Streak

The 36-ranked UAB men's tennis team extended their winning streak to 3-0 on Tuesday as they defeated the North Alabama Lions 7-0. This is the third match that UAB has won with a score of 7-0.
Five Blazers currently have a 3-0 record this season in dual match play, including 68-ranked Andre van der Merwe who defeated Elliott Wood of UNA 6-3, 6-3 at no. 1 singles. Alex Jung of UAB defeated Krisztian Forgacs 6-1, 6-3 at no. 2 singles.
UAB went 2-1 in the doubles portion of the match capturing the doubles point. Sanzaruz Zaman and Alan Ambrose defeated Wood and Forgacs 8-5 at no. 1 doubles. At no. 2 doubles, Zac Funk and Jung fell to Johan Hagberg and Mattias Dahlstrom 9-8.
