Lendeborg Earns Spot on Oscar Robertson Trophy Midseason Watch List

BIRMINGHAM – The U.S. Basketball Writers Association has selected 50 standout men's college basketball players for its 2024-25 Oscar Robertson Trophy Midseason Watch List, the USBWA announced on Monday, and UAB forward Yaxel Lendeborg was among the players selected.
Members of the association's board of directors chose the players that will be considered as contenders for the National Player of the Year. All Division I players remain eligible for the award.
Lendeborg is leading the Blazers in points (17.6 ppg), rebounds (10.4 rpg), assists (4.4 apg), blocks (1.7 bpg) and steals (1.5 apg) this season while shooting a team-high .568 from the field.
The senior forward has been named the American Conference Player of the Week twice this season while earning Oscar Robertson Starting Five of the Week honors once. He is one of three players from the American Conference selected to the Watch List.
