BIRMINGHAM - UAB kicker Jonah Delange has been named AAC Special Teams Player of the Week after his career day against South Florida on Saturday.
The Mobile native was 4-of-4 on field goals, with makes from 41, 29, 32, and 48 yards. Delange accounted for 13 of the Blazers' 25 points on Saturday.
Delange's four made field goals in a game is tied for third most in school history. His long of 51 at Army is tied for seventh longest in UAB history. Delange just needs two more field goals to break into the top 10 in school history for most field goals made in a career.
Delange is one of three kickers in the FBS with a perfect field goal percentage with at least 10 attempts while also not missing an extra point.
The nation's most efficient kicker is now 14-of-14 on field goals, with a long of 51 and 13-of-13 on PATs. Additionally, Delange is tied for 48th in the nation in points scored with 55.
Delange and the Blazers next play on Saturday, November 2 as it hosts Tulsa at Protective Stadium for Homecoming.
