Kids Takeover Day Set for Sept. 16 vs. Louisiana

BIRMINGHAM – UAB Football is set to face Louisiana at Protective Stadium at 6 p.m. on Sept. 16 and the Blazers will be hosting Kids Takeover Day that evening.
Kids Takeover Day features a half off ticket offer in the Family Zone, free face painting and inflatables at Blazer Village and the North Endzone Family Fun Zone, a pregame high-five tunnel for Blazer Buddies Kids Club members and is once again highlighted by the Guest Kids PA Announcer contest.
Take advantage of the Family Zone ticket offer by purchasing prior to gameday. These tickets are located on the north side of the stadium with a great view of downtown Birmingham and the Protective Stadium video board. Pre-purchase your Family Zone half off tickets here.
Kids Takeover Day fun starts at 2 p.m. at Blazer Village in Uptown with free face painting, inflatables, and giveaways. Blazer Village is right next to the location for Blazer Walk where fans can welcome the team to Protective Stadium at 3:45 p.m.
Blazer Buddies Kids Club members have the opportunity to participate in the pregame high-five tunnel. Be on the field adjacent to the Marching Blazers and high-five the players as they enter the field before kickoff. Kids 12 and younger can join Blazer Buddies Kids Club for just $35. The Guest Kids PA Announcer contest is open to Blazers fans ages 12 and younger. Warm up those vocal cords and record a 15-20 second video stating your first name and your best version of the script listed below. Submit your video along with the information below to sportspromo@uab.edu by noon on Monday, Sept. 11, 2023 to be considered.

Submissions will be reviewed and posted on the UAB Athletics Facebook page on Tuesday, Sept. 12th. The video submission with the most "Likes" or reactions on the Facebook page will be given the opportunity to visit the press box in pregame and be a guest PA announcer. Voting will close and final tallies will be taken at Noon on Thursday, September 14th. The winning submission will be announced on Friday ahead of the Louisiana game.
