UAB Closes Out Spring Home Schedule With Memphis

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's soccer team plays its final spring home game on Saturday against Memphis. Kickoff at PNC Field is scheduled for 5 p.m. Admission is free.
ABOUT UAB
UAB returns 21 players from last season's roster including leading goal scorers Asha Zuniga, Laura Zemberyova, Morgan Halliwill and Stella Kiss. Both keepers, Eve Beyer and Anika Toth, also return to the lineup that advanced to the semifinals of the 2021 Conference USA Championship.
ABOUT MEMPHIS
Memphis is coming off a 14-5-2 season and is the defending American Athletic Champion. The Tigers advanced to the Second Round of the NCAA Championship Memphis returns leading scorers Jocelyn Alonzo and Tanya Boychuk and All-Conference First Team defenseman Grace Stordy.
THE SERIES VS. MEMPHIS
The teams have met 24 times, with Memphis holding a 14-9-1 advantage. The teams last met in the 2021 Spring opener, with the Tigers coming out on top 3-0. The Blazers and Tigers have met three times in the Conference USA Championship with each team having one win, one loss and one tie (UAB won on PKs).
