Track and Field Finishes Strong at Boston University Scarlet and White Invitational

BOSTON- Track and field kept its momentum going today in the 2022 Boston University Scarlet and White Invitational. Anna Massa placed first in the women's pole vault with a 3.85 meter jump, and nine Blazers set PRs.
"We had another solid day in Boston." Said Coach Kurt Thomas. "It's a long trip and competing back to back days is hard, but the ladies came out and competed well. The vaulters all around had a good day with lots of PRs. Lauren Robinson ran a great 5k. Gina raced a brave 800m and got a good PR. The 200m girls raced well too."

Julianne Manning- Pole Vault
Danice Loney- Pole Vault
Sydney Taylor- 200m
Kaylie Wright- 200m
Kat Duren- 200m
Regina Harris- 800m

Lauren Robinson- 5000m
UAB wrapped this weekend up with 14 athletes setting new personal records.
Head coach Kurt Thomas said, "We came up and accomplished a lot of goals and moved up the conference standings in several events. We are proud of this team."
The track and field team will be competing next in the Samford Bulldog Open next Saturday, February 12. This event will be held at Birmingham CrossPlex.
