UAB Football Single Game Promotions: Game One – Grand Opening

BIRMINGHAM – With the inaugural season at Protective Stadium rapidly approaching, the UAB Department of Athletics will release individual game promotions for the Blazers' five home games, beginning with the Protective Stadium opener on Oct. 2.
Game 1: UAB vs. Liberty
Date: Oct. 2, 2021
Time: 6 p.m.
TV: CBS Sports Network
Promotions: Protective Stadium Grand Opening; Medical Professionals Appreciation
Title Sponsor: Viva Health
It will be a historic day in Birmingham on Oct. 2 when UAB hosts Liberty in what will be one of the nation's marquee non-conference matchups. The reigning Conference USA champions christen the new stadium with Liberty, who finished 10-1 and ranked No. 17 nationally last season.
Following pregame festivities, which includes the new-look Blazer Walk and Blazer Village, fans will want to head into Protective Stadium early to witness the reveal of UAB's 2020 championship banner.
Along with the Protective Stadium grand opening, UAB Football will recognize local medical professionals who have been fighting on the front lines during the COVID-19 pandemic. The UAB Department of Athletics will salute these hometown heroes leading into and during the game.
Season tickets are still on sale starting as low as $75 and will provide you with the best seating locations in our new home. You can request more information or purchase by clicking here.
Discounted group tickets and fan experiences are also now available for a minimum purchase of 15 tickets to any home football game during the 2021 season.
