Blazers Host Lady Techsters For Friday and Saturday Series

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's basketball team will look to defend home court when they host Louisiana Tech for a two-game Conference USA matchup on Friday and Saturday in Bartow Arena.
Tipoff is set for 2:00 p.m. for both games, with Friday's matchup available through C.USA TV, while Saturday's game will be streamed through ESPN+.
UAB LATELY
The Blazers (7-9, 2-8 C-USA) came back empty-handed last weekend after a trip to the Lone Star State, going 0-2 at UTEP.
After falling to the Miners 74-53 on in the first game of the series, UAB battled back in game two. A four-point play from Margaret Whitley with :15 seconds left in the game forced overtime in El Paso.
The Blazers are looking to earn their first C-USA home victory of the season.
DOUBLE-DOUBLE DULLARD
Freshman Lindsey Dullard, who has started the last four games for the Blazers, shined in UAB's series at UTEP.
She recorded her second career double-double in game two on Feb. 6, scoring a career-high 15 points off 6-of-11 shooting and grabbing 11 rebounds.
Dullard currently ranks No. 2 among C-USA freshmen in rebounding, averaging 6.88 per game.
THE SERIES
UAB has a 6-5 all-time record against LA Tech (11-7, 6-6 C-USA), with all 11 matchups played under coach Randy Norton.
The last time the two teams met was in the first round of the C-USA Tournament on March 11, 2020 in Frisco, Texas. Despite four Blazers scoring in double digits in the matchup, UAB fell to LA Tech 66-63.
That was the last game UAB played last season, before all C-USA competition was canceled as a result of COVID-19.
