Overseas Update: Wen Mukubu

Former UAB guard Wen Mukubu finished the 2019-20 season with Hubo Limburg United of the EuroMillions Basketball League. The team is located in Hasselt, which is 50 miles east of Belgium's capital of Brussels.
In the group phase of the season, Mukubu led Limburg to a 7-1 record and a tie for first place in Group B. The team finished fourth in the regular season with a 10-7 record before the season was stopped due to the coronavirus on March 14th.
Mukubu finished the year averaging 8.0 points and 3.9 rebounds per contest. His season-high as a 20 point performance against Kangoeroes Mechelen. Mukubu recorded double-figure scoring in four contests.
After finishing at UAB, Mukubu began his professional career with Saint Thomas Basket Le Havre in France. He has had stops with Sutor Basket Montegranaro and Basket Club Ferrara, A.S. Pistoia Basket 2000 in Italy, Strasbourg Illkirch-Graffenstaden Basket, Basket Club Maritime Gravelines-Dunkerque and JA Vichy-Clermont Métropole Basket in France, Cocodrilos de Caracas in Venezuela, Liège Basket, Royal Basketball Club Pepinster and Spirou Charleroi in Belgium before singing with Limburg before the start of the 2015-16 season.
Mukubu arrived at UAB after playing two seasons at Arkansas. As a junior with the Blazers, he in all 31 games, starting 13 and averaging 9.3 points per game. He improved his scoring to 14.3 points per game as a senior, making 30 starts.
